MC 39: Singing the phrase in order to “Internalize “it, Harmony Is Counterpoint & More

We continue what we began last week:
 
A. We learn two phrases by “ear” (Intuitively) while the”mind” puts it together (Logically).
 
We do this by:
 
1. Singing the phrase in order to “Internalize “it.
 
2. Analyzing Which Elements are used that comprise the phrase.
(We use two PDF’s)
 
B. We take these phrases and use this process to play them in different keys and in several “Symetrical Intervalic Combinations.”
 
I call this technique: "Getting Beyond Transposing”
 
II) Harmonic Voice Leading
 
A. Students Play Their “Homework” of Voice Leading Lines on “Another You” and/or “Out of Nowhere,” or "I’ll Remember April.”
 
B. Also: the Melodies That They Created Based on These Lines
 
III) "Harmony Is Counterpoint”
