I.)Singing:

A) Solos:With Lester, Bird, Chet Baker etc

B) Scale Permutations and Chromatic Intervals (PDF’sUsed)

C) ”Voice Leading Lines”
   
1)Singing Line Movements from different degrees of the Dorian Mode on II V I using “Numerical Solfeggio“ (PDF’s Used)

D)Students Sing Acapella Versions of “Nowhere” and/or “Another You” (PDF’s of Lyrics)

II.)Listening: Great Examples of “Paraphrase and Melodic Reconstruction.”

A)Charlie Parker’s “Out of Nowhere” - We listen to Bird’s Live version from Boston.

IV.) We play on “Nowhere” out of tempo - playing a phrase of the melody “answered by an improvised phrase. Bob demonstrates and the students follow suit.
        
V.)Creating   Voice Leading Lines on “Another You”and “Out of Nowhere”(PDF Created while we create line)

VII.) Explanation of “Line Clichés” ( PDF’s Used)

A) Incorporating them into “Another You and “Out of Nowhere “

Master musician and teacher of all that is Jazz, Bob Mover, leads this workshop and masterclass while instructors Isaac Raz from Whole Music LLC & Jazz guitarist Gary Pierce assist.
